Christina Abraham

YOUTH FELLOW

Christina Abraham is a CASA-NYC Youth Fellow and Youth Advisory Board Member, bringing systems-level insight to foster care and juvenile justice reform. Having spent 17 years within New York City’s foster care system, she offers a rare longitudinal perspective that informs policy development, organizational practice, and youth-centered governance. At CASA-NYC, Christina collaborates with legal coalitions on proposed legislation, advises on best practices, supports training and curriculum development, and facilitates youth advisory leadership. In 2022, she was featured in NBC News’ two-part documentary Unprotected: Aging Out of Foster Care, contributing to national dialogue on foster care transitions. She is the founder of The G.I.R.L.S Project, a trauma-informed nonprofit for young adults, and has worked with government agencies, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations across New York and New Jersey.
