Taryn Lamb
Taryn Lamb is a 26-year-old lifestyle content creator, podcaster, and cat mom originally from Portland, Oregon, now living in Austin, Texas. In 2025, Taryn will be running her very first marathon as part of Team CASA-NYC, supporting a mission she is deeply passionate about: advocating for youth in foster care. A self-described travel and food lover, Taryn previously completed a half marathon in 2023 and is excited (and a little nervous!) to push herself further this year. She’ll be documenting her marathon journey on Instagram (@taryn_lamb) and TikTok (@therealtarynlamblamb), rallying her community in support of CASA-NYC’s life-changing work. Support Taryn here!
Cambrie Luce
Cambrie Luce moved to New York City five years ago for college and quickly found solace in running the city’s streets—from the West Side Highway to the winding paths of Central Park. In 2025, she’ll be running her first marathon, the TCS New York City Marathon, as part of Team CASA-NYC. Passionate about CASA-NYC’s mission to advocate for children and youth in the foster care system, Cambrie is excited to bring together her friends and family from around the world to support a cause that’s close to her heart—and rooted in the city she now calls home. John Shimada
John Shimada is a retired attorney and dedicated CASA volunteer from Orange County, California. In 2025, he will run the TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of CASA-NYC, bringing his passion for advocacy to the streets of New York. A CASA volunteer for the past six years, John has seen firsthand the critical support advocates provide to youth in foster care. Now, he’s combining his commitment to children’s rights with his love for running, aiming to raise $4,000 in support of CASA-NYC’s mission to ensure stability, equity, and justice for young people in the child welfare system.
