Join Our Team

CASA-NYC’s staff is a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring that young people involved in the NYC child welfare system have their needs met and rights protected, and that children in foster care are moved quickly into safe, stable, nurturing, and permanent homes—with their families of origin whenever possible.

We are committed to advancing racial justice in our advocacy, and we value the dynamism and perspective that staff diversity, equity, and inclusion bring to the work and culture of our organization.

Mission

Court Appointed Special Advocates of New York City (CASA-NYC) is a volunteer-based organization whose mission is to ensure that children in foster care have their needs met and rights protected; that they move out of foster care and into permanent, safe and loving homes as quickly as possible; and that young people aging out of foster care have the resources and support they need to live independently. CASA-NYC is one of the oldest and largest of nearly 1,000 CASA programs in the United States, and is a member in good standing of the National CASA Association.
